Settings and Locations

Location 1: Bathroom
There are a few different things filmed in this location. During the opening and the snippets of the character in the bath. It was also used a little bit in the scenes where my character is going a bit crazy. This location was at my Nan's house in Leigh-on-sea.

Location 2: Beach

There are snippets of film that were shot here. We went on a fairly gloomy day, we wanted it to fit the mood of the beginning of the song. The beach was empty and conveyed loneliness exactly how we wanted it to. This was shot at Chalkwell Beach just outside the station.

Location 3: Garden
There is one part that was filmed in this location. This is where the scenes are of my character with some sparklers. He is walking about the garden and holding up the sparklers to the camera.

Location 4: Park

There is only really one scene we shot here and that was the one of my character on the swing by himself. Again, we felt like the beach, it was great way to show loneliness. This is a big theme throughout the song. We shot this on a week day and during school hours so nobody was around. This was shot at Chalkwell park in the playground along the main road.

Location 5: Supermarket Carpark

I did not end up using this location however it would have been to play around in the carpark as well as possibly inside the supermarket. This being with a trolley, a lot of the shots would have been handheld and POV.

Location: 6: Bedroom
There are a few snippets of the character in a bedroom. This is mashed with those in the bathroom, he is angry at himself during this scene. He was using the pillows as props to throw and knocking books and video tapes off of shelves. This again was shot at my Nan's house.

Location 7: Mini Golf

I did not end up using this location however it would have been used for a close-up shot. This being a place where the beat drops, you would see the golf ball fall into one of the holes in the course.

Location 8: Living Room
There is a scene where my character is laying on a sofa and watching TV. We also show a few shots of the TV where the character and I are lip syncing to the song. This is located in my Nan's living room at her house.

Location 9: Arboretum Trsteno

A few of my quickly shown clips are shot here. Trsteno is a small town about 25 minutes north of Dubrovnik in Croatia. I went here on a visit during October 2017 and felt it was a beautiful place to include some clips for my video. I filmed with my GoPro and it allowed me to get the nice shots of the bamboo trees in the forest.

Location 10: The Bay of Kotor

Much like the location above a few of my quickly shown clips were also shot here. The Bay of Kotor also known as 'Boka' is located in the city of Kotor in North Montenegro. The second clip of the whole video is filmed whilst driving past this location. Another part of the video also filmed there is where we were on a ferry going across the lake.

Location 11: Island of Lokrum

This is also a location that only briefly features in the faster clips of this song, it is a small island in the Adriactic Sea. A mere 10 minute boat ride from Old City Dubrovnik. It is a huge nature reserve, home to wild peacocks and bunnies. I included some shots from it's port and in one of the gardens.

Location 12: Riviera Maya Cancun

This is the final place I used my quick clips from. It is the beach located along the east coast of Mexico in it's tourist destination of Cancun. There are a few quick clips shot here, the diving scenes as well as the white sandy beach clip. There is also a spinning clip from the hotel pool.
