 Below is a montage of some of the rough-cuts/bloopers that didn't make it into the final video, most of the reasons for them not being there is the fact they went wrong or we were just playing about with the camera. I thought it'd be fun to include them so you can see how much fun we had filming it.

Textual Analysis - Toxic by Britney Spears

Toxic – Britney Spears Music Video Analysis The chorus lyrics of the song come from the other person’s perspective, in this case, it is the male(s) in the video. They’re essentially saying that Spears herself is toxic as seen in the video, however, it could also be taken the opposite way saying how Spears is killing the ‘toxic’ men. The line ‘Don’t you know that you're toxic?’ again could come from someone else’s point of view aimed at Spears but then could be seen as a rhetorical question or said by Spears herself to the male characters. The first line of the chorus ends by saying ‘I’m on a ride’ this links with the idea of the aeroplane, you ride an aeroplane. The lyric is linked with the video content. The entirety of the lyrics, however, could be taken in a completely different way and be a metaphor for the media. This song could be seen as a cry for help before her breakdown had fully developed. Storyboards

Storyboards Original Timeline/Storyboard: Below is the original storyboard which was created on the day of shooting. We wrote this down to help us decided what scenes we were going to film and when. We ticked off the scenes as we went through and we still had a few scenes we weren't sure about/what to place at certain points. This piece of paper was really just an hour of us jotting down loads of different ideas and checking which ones we liked/worked best. We chose to cut up the timeline into different sections talking about the different sections, we wanted to be as exact as we could. Different Scene Storyboard: Next I did a simple storyboard just showing the different scenes I would be having throughout the video. Obviously this was done before the ending so not everything in the final product is shown here. I have included the main lip-synching parts however some of the orders of shots have changed. Editing Diary

Editing Diary For editing this video I used a program called 'Sony Vegas Pro 13'. I am very familiar with this editing software as I have been using it (or different variations) for  about five years now. I decided to use it for this project as it is the suite I am most fluent in, I know how to work the software much better than I know how to use 'iMovie' or 'Final Cut Pro' (both of which I also do have). Using the software will allow me to utilise my talents with Sony and create the best music video I could possibly make. I started editing virtually as soon as I could. As I used my Canon and my GoPro Hero 3+ it meant I was able to just copy over the clips from the memory card over to my computer. However, to make the editing faster I decided to not work from the memory crad. This also meant I could save a lot of space on my laptop due to the videos being is such high-quality. It was all shot in 1080p (HD) so it became quite difficult to edit in real time. I...
