Research and Planning Marking

I liked the SWOT analysis using Vocaroo although the Weaknesses and Threats sections were far longer than the Strengths and Opportunities! Like the prelim- good practice for lip synch. I felt the history of music videos post could have had more detail and dealt with the relationship between moving image and music. The codes and conventions were identified but there was no explanation into why these had developed as such. The codes and conventions of rock videos Prezi contained some good points but was often a little descriptive rather than insightful. I liked the post on theorists although there could have been more depth and explanation. Neale for example was barely explained. The analyses of Toxic and Temple were very thorough and excellent. The analysis of the previous student's video was also very good. Sound understanding of demographics. Prezi on institutions was short. I like the post on viral marketing which gave two good examples but perhaps could have explored viral marketing itself in more detail. Storyboarding was accurate but not enough detail. again, influences could have been in more detail. It would have been good to make it more explicit that your locations had been chosen for your video rather than just convenient- feels like places you happened to film! The vocaroo interviewing the lead singer was a little short and it would have been niceto have had more reasons behind what he said. Good editing diary in terms of explaining tech. Bloopers were fun and showed you giving direction. Surely would have been better to have the director's commentary over the video! liked the T-shirts. I liked the use of examples in the 'Purpose' blog.

Digipak stuff is sound. The analysis of the Taylor Swift one is thorough without being overly insightful. I actually really like the final product- showed off your IT skills! Good analysis thereof.
Perhaps the what makes a good website could have been a little more thorough. Very thorough analysis of the Kings of Leon website Little disappointed by the website which seemed a bit bland for someone with your IT skills.
